Lash Lift in Redmond, OR: What to Expect and How Long It Lasts
If you've been watching lash lifts take over everyone's social feed and wondering whether it's right for you, here's a straight answer: it probably is. A lash lift is one of those treatments that looks like a lot but is actually one of the most low-maintenance beauty investments you can make. At Birdie's Brows & Spa in Redmond, it's one of our most-requested services — and for good reason.
What Is a Lash Lift, Exactly?
A lash lift is a semi-permanent treatment that curls your natural lashes upward from the base, creating the look of longer, more open eyes without extensions, falsies, or daily curler use. Think of it as a perm — but for your lashes, and with a much more natural result.
We can pair it with a lash tint for added definition, which most clients love. The whole appointment takes about 35 minutes.
What Happens at Your Appointment
When you come in for a lash lift at Birdie's, here's what to expect:
We start with a quick consultation to talk about your natural lashes and the look you're going for. Your eyes will be closed for most of the treatment, so we want you to be comfortable and relaxed before we start.
From there, we apply a silicone shield to your eyelid and use a gentle solution to set your lashes in the lifted position. There's no pain involved — most clients actually find it pretty relaxing. Once the solution processes and is neutralized, your lashes are set. If we're adding a tint, that happens at the end.
When you open your eyes, the difference is immediate.
How Long Does a Lash Lift Last?
Results typically last 6 to 8 weeks, depending on your natural lash growth cycle. Some clients get closer to 10 weeks out of a treatment. You'll notice the curl gradually relaxing as your lashes naturally shed and grow back in.
To make your results last as long as possible:
Avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24 hours after treatment
Skip mascara for the first day or two
Use a nourishing lash serum to keep lashes healthy between appointments
Avoid rubbing your eyes (always good advice, really)
Most clients book a follow-up around the 6-week mark to stay in the sweet spot.
Is a Lash Lift Right for Your Lashes?
Lash lifts work best on lashes that are at least a moderate length — very short lashes don't have enough to work with. Straight or downward-pointing lashes tend to see the most dramatic transformation, but even naturally curly lashes can benefit from added lift and definition.
If you've had lash extensions recently, we'll want to make sure they've fully grown out before scheduling a lift.
Not sure if your lashes are a good candidate? Just ask — we'd rather give you an honest answer during a quick consultation than have you leave disappointed.
